Are you looking for an inspiring venue? VUB Architectural Engineering is happy hosting events in relation to sustainable construction and related innovations in its Circular Retrofit Lab.

VUB offers multiple rooms for rent, but for our lab, we are happy to provide extra hosting and guidance, to strengthen our partnership with practice, society and policy.

Venue

The Circular Retrofit Lab has two floors. Each floor is independent from another. Outdoors (next to the ground floor) there is more space for a drink and encounter.

Upper floor (accessible via outdoor staircase only)

• Four big tables, ideal for workshops
• One movable screen, equipped with camera and speaker (for video calls)
• One physical whiteboard
• Small kitchenette and 2 toilets

Ground floor (accessible via some outdoor steps)

• 60 loos chairs, ideal for lectures
• One movable screen, equipped with camera and speaker (for video calls)
• One physical whiteboard, and a digital one
• Small kitchenette and 2 toilets

Attached are three photos, showing the different layouts of the ground floor. A group of 40 participants is still comfortable. Hosting 60 participants is possible, but it becomes rather tight; especially during breaks or lunch.

The Eduroam WiFi network is openly available for academics on our campus. WiFi-access for guests can be provided, if requested in advance.
